Message from the Mount Pleasant Events Committee
The MP EVENTS COMMITTEE would like to send out a really big "THANK YOU" to all of those who came out to support the 2011 INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION. This was our largest crowd in the 11 years for this event, and we hope everyone had a great time. We are asking for any suggestions or comments as we begin planning for next year... what would you like to see?
We are also in need of more volunteers.. so if you are interested in helping with our events, please attend one of our meetings which are held on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30pm at Town Hall.
Please join us on Facebook at MP EVENTS COMMITTEE!
About our Parades and Events
Christmas The Town of Mount Pleasant holds an annual Christmas Parade and Celebration. This is a great opportunity for families to come out and enjoy the various activities taking place in the town. After the Parade, there is tree a lighting ceremony, refreshments, performances, and many other events throughout the day. Santa Clause is known to be a regular visitor to the Mount Pleasant Christmas Celebration.
Independence
The Mount Pleasant Independence Celebration takes place every year prior to the Independence Day. Activates often include food, games, performances, and competitions. On Saturday morning, a parade kicks off the day. Later that night, live bands and fire works conclude the celebration.
These two events are a great opportunity for families to come have a day of fun in the Town of Mount Pleasant. Both events put together by a wonderful group of sponsors and dedicated volunteers. To sign up for a parade, or learn how to become a sponsor please call Town Hall at 704-436-9803, or contact the group through Facebook, at MP EVENTS COMMITTEE.
