Recreational Opportunities
There are Several Recreational Opportunities in the Town of Mount Pleasant. The town maintains McAllister Park, located on Park Drive behind the Town Hall, and the Mount Pleasant Mini Park, located on North Drive. In addition, there are several fields and facilities operated by local churches and schools. Cabarrus County also operates the Mount Pleasant Senior Center that provides a wide range of activities for Adults over 55. Sport Leagues in Mount Pleasant are managed by local nonprofit organizations and Cabarrus County.

Parades and Celebrations
The Town of Mount Pleasant holds an annual Christmas Parade and Celebration. This is a great opportunity for families to come out and enjoy the various activities taking place in the town. After the Parade, there is tree a lighting ceremony, refreshments, performances, and many other events throughout the day. Santa Clause is known to be a regular visitor to the Mount Pleasant Christmas Celebration.
The Mount Pleasant Independence Celebration takes place every year prior to the Independence Day. Activates often include food, games, performances, and competitions. On Saturday morning, a parade kicks off the day. Later that night, live bands and fire works conclude the celebration.
These two events are a great opportunity for families to come have a day of fun in the Town of Mount Pleasant. Both events put together by a wonderful group of sponsors and dedicated volunteers.
